SOURCE: My casio ct670 ToneBank keyboard isn't making much sound

Check that you don't have old batteries in the unit. Also that the auto power down is not activated.

If using a power adapter make sure it is the RIGHT one, both in polarity and current rating.

Testimonial: "Sorta helpful. How do I check for auto power down activation? Thanks for responding so soon. I'm not using batteries and used the original ac adapter."

SOURCE: no chord will play while in fingered mode

NORMALLY "fingered" mode means that you have to "finger" the chord, that is, play all the notes of the chord. It sounds like it IS working as designed.

SOURCE: casio tonebank ct700 no sound from chords only

More info. If you are chording on the left half of the keyboard, SOMETIMES they allocate or have the option to select a different voice for the part where chords are played. For these, you have to ALSO select a voice for that half of the keyboard. If you don't select a voice, then you would not have anything sounding.

My casio ct 615 210 tonebank keeps switching off after so many minutes? Why, and how can I stop this from happening. Thanks

To rule out the power supply, or the related power supply circuitry - try it with batteries. If the problem goes away, you can try another 9v power supply with the same ma current (or higher) just make sure it is the correct polarity.

How can I attach a 1/4 inch cord to my ca-110 tonebank to record the nusic played through a tascam dp-008 pocket studio

There is likely a 3mm connector. Get an adaptor from what you have to the 1/4" size. They're readily available and pretty cheap.

The output of the casio may only be mono, you can buy splitters to create a 2x channel output. Is there any other outputs from the casio other than headphones, usually there are red/white RCA outputs (Phono's) which would be better for connecting to your soundcard.

Hope I was of use to you, good luck.

It sounds like the sustain is stuck on as if a sustain pedal is active. You don't mention if you have one, however if you MIGHT have one and you have used a Roland pedal, that brand is reverse sensed and would cause note to remain on.

My keyboard has 2 threaded holes in the bottom that look like they'd be used to attach it to a stand. So...how do I secure it so it doesn't fall off when my dog bumps the stand?

Unless the stand was specifically made for the Casio, the holes probably will not line up with anything. You can COUNT on them being Metric threaded and you have to be careful to not put too long screws in the holes. If you stand doen't line up with the holes, best to secure a piece of plywood to your stand first that is drilled to match the synth and attach the synth to the plywood. I don't know how your stand is made so I can't give you more details.

Have an old casio ct tonebank 700 and apparantly one of the banks needs repairing as when I try to use the figered mode it does not play. I was quoted £100 to repair it, that is if they can repair it....

The switching to put in in that mode is probably bad. May just be a dirty or broken switch. Normally the fingered modes are controlled by same processor and those will work if other stuff is working.

You might google for a "factory reset" for the unit. SOMETIMES they have a proceedure to reset any internal parameters to original if they have been modified.
