Most sewing machine stores that have Brother machines will probably have the embroidery foot. Ask for part XA5500-001. It's available online here for $22: http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/screw-in-embroidery-foot-brother-xa5500001.aspx . Amazon.com also has the embroidery foot: http://www.amazon.com/Screw-Embroidery-Foot-XA5500001-Brother/dp/B0038RAVXI .

I hope this helps.

Pacesetter ULT 2002D does it have a jump thread cutter

Yes, the Pacesetter ULT 2002D sewing and embroidery machine does have a jump thread cutter feature. The jump thread cutter is designed to automatically cut the jump threads (the threads between design elements or color changes) to help minimize manual trimming and make the stitching process more efficient. It is a convenient feature that saves time and ensures clean and professional-looking embroidery results. Please consult the machine's user manual or refer to the manufacturer's documentation for specific instructions on how to use the jump thread cutter on your Pacesetter ULT 2002D machine.

How do I Lower the pressure foot for sewing after changing from embroidery on my brother pc- 8500?

Would a manual help?

Brother PC 8500 User Manual

Are the feed dogs in the raised position? Is it a regular stitch presser foot or a darning foot? A darning foot is shorter in height so the fabric can be maneuvered without use of the feed dogs. Just some ideas. Could also be an embroidery setting that has not been deactivated.

Quantum cxl timing problem

That will not be a timing problem. Most probably centre needle position has not been selected when using the straight stitch foot

The feeder dose not feed

there is a switch on the back of most machines behind the feed dogs that allow you to drop the feet for embroidery, you have to switch it back to raise the feed dogs back up

I have a Brother PC-8200 embroidery sewing machine. Last week I had done some embroidering then changed to straight sewing but couldn't get the tension to adjust. Took it in for repairs, and the...

That's a tough call, parts can be pretty high to fix a machine. Have looked around to price out a new embroidery machine, Janome makes some very nice one in that price range. I'd try ebay there is one which is missing the foot control and hoops for $250.00 just search Brother Pacesetter PC-8200 this may be the ticket you already have the foot control and hoops.

Best of luck

Is this machine a high or low shank? I'm trying to buy a 1/4" quilting foot or seam foot and not sure which foot to buy.

High Shank Machines are all the Janome Embroidery models MC 8000, MC 9000, 10000, 10001, 11000, 200E, 300E, 350E....etc
If yours is not an embroidery machine, it has a LOW SHANK .....the higher shank allows for easier access for the embroidery hoop.

Bobbin thread shows through fabric ALOT

When this happens you need to adjust the tension down. If it's set at a default of 4 move it down to 3.5 or even down to 3 sew a bit check. Certain threads do this more (Sulky) on the brother than others (Maderia), but the black lettering in the embroidery feature always seems to need adjusted. The tension adjustment is the same for sewing or embroidery mode.
