My NEC NP110 takes one and a half minutes for the lamp to come on from switch on. Is this OK or can it be adjusted to come on quicker.

The projector has a sensor to check for humidity, it is coming on earlier than you think, but it is warming out the bulb slowly so it will not shatters, this is a good thing. Be Patient!

NEC VT670 - Lamp won't light. Replaced with new lamp, but gives same error. The manual says to wait a minute and then turn on the power again, but this does not work.

I have the same problem. The lamp appears OK. but she isn't coming on. It seems like a problem to start the lamp.
Did you find a solution?

NEC VT 595 wont turn on. Just red blinking light

I had this same problem with 2 NEC VT595 projectors. My problem was that there was a broken "tab" on the lamp cover (the plastic cover that slides in place over the lamp) that is supposed to depress a switch which insures the lamp cover is in place before operating the projector. The tab was broken in half and not making the connection there for causing the blinking status light (.5 sec on, 2.5 sec off) indicating a lamp housing or cover error.

LAMP not switching on NEC HT410

I had the exact same problem and solved it. After calling NEC tech and getting no help, my son and I decided to:

  • Remove, clean and reset lamp.
  • Completely clean (with compressed air) system.

And it worked. Here's what we did.

  • Removed lamp and cleaned with compressed air (in cans).
  • Used two cans of air to completely remove all internal dust. In our case long over due.
  • Reinstalled lamp and reset meter. (To reset: Turn on machine, wait 2 minutes or so, then hold down the "Help" button right next to the infrared sensor on the front of the machine).

Works fine now! Dont know if it was technical solution but solved it for us! Good Luck!
