Following your lead, and seeing the manuals for other products, I found the manual on Makita's Canadian site. Curious that it would be there and not on the USA site, oh well.

I sincerely apologize, every other manual that I have needed is there. But to redeem myself they have a toll free number for tech support that I have used and they are great it is 1-8004625482 and ask them to fax or mail you a copy and if you still can't get it let me know, the rep will be in my shop next week.I sincerely apologize, every other manual that I have needed is there. I have attached a link with the parts breakdown and the owners manual both in PDF format.
The parts breakdown should help you, if not let me know and I'll try to talk you through it. Makita Products Tool Support
Then click on the appropriate full model number and you will next see links for the parts breakdown and manual for your saw.

Good luck, and please provide feedback if this helps!
they are aware of it. I have made mention numerous times to them. Did you try removing the table from the base and cleaning both surfaces with sandpaper and lubing before reassembling? I have used that method for years and it works for me. I have repaired tools for over 28 years and worked for Makita in the past and this was about the only way to help. Let me know if you need more detailed instructions.
The light should have its own harness that plugs into a connector. I have the breakdown with the breakdown and wiring diagram if you want a copy just email me at [email protected] or go to phoenixrepair.org. Hope this helps you. Rob
Try another tool in the same power outlet. It may have popped a breaker. Make sure the blade turns freely. Does the motor have brushes that should be looked at? Hope this helps!
Could be a bearing problem. If the bearings are dry and seizing up they will hinder the motor speed. Alternatively, if they are worn and allowing lateral movement in the motor the armature will rub against the field windings when it all magnatizes (sp?). I would investigate bearings before electrics. Hope this helps, good luck.
There is no manual there.
