Question about Sony KP-57WS500 57" Rear Projection Television
MY SONY TV MODEL IS KP-FX432M91. IT IS AVAILBLE ONLY IN MIDDLE EAST/UK, its stby lt blinks 10 time and set would not switch on. I have Replaced Q8013,Q8014, IC8005 and resistor R8051 in D board , no luck. One thing very strange, If I keep the power off more than 8 hours, TV starts working normal, it comes on at first attempt and even with repeated on/ off, tv works normal but if tv is kept off more than 15 minutes. Then problem starts and TV does not come on and to switch it On as earlier said you will have to wait for 8 hours. Next plan is to replace Driver IC8002, which is not availble in middle east.

10 Blinks, HV PORT, Solution
Sony asked 300 dollars to fix 10 blinking problem of TV kp-fx432M91.I decided to fix it myself on throw away basis, could not get much help for 10 blinks from Net. Bought Service Manual from net then few parts and finally above mentioned IC 8002 fixed the problem. Pls look for IC Part No. MCZ3001DB in D board, You will find two IC of same part number but look for the IC driving Two FETs of High Voltage Power supply section.
Q8013, Q8014, R8051 and IC 8002 are the essential components for HV section and these must be checked/replaced.
These all components cost only 12 Dollars in Middle East and 30 Dollars in USA and Sony may ask u minimum 250 dollars to fix 10 blinking problem.
When it is switched on for the first time it works very well,but if switched off, you wait for more then 10 hours for you to switch it on again,it begun with 2min then 10min and now 10hours.what seems to be the problem.

I used to have the same problem and after 10 hours it would turn on and would continue working for as long as required. I have replaced the above mentioned components, and now I have the 4 blinking problem. I have checked IC Vertical Drive, LA78045 - replaced, didn't work. What can I do?
