Is there a way to solve this

My problem is i have the cd but wont work on my pc it only works for x or vista is there a way to get it to work for 2000

Hey,

I'm sorry to tell you, microsoft has only written drivers for windows xp and vista. Microsoft doesn't support its windows 2000 OS (Operating system) Anymore and doesn't write any drivers for it.

There was a client in premium chat I had earlyer, similiar camera, we where unable to get the camera to work with any drivers. Only solution seems to be to move to windows xp or maybe upgrade the pc. Or buy a older camera that supports windows 2000.

You're CD drive is defective. See if the CD works in you're DVD player. If so then the CD drive in you're computer is defective.

Have an old inspirion e1705 put vista on it cd drive didnt work so put a an one in then starting having problem with vista and now it wont boot from the cd to rebot the computer

You may have to go into the bios and re set the boot order to CD first.
When you first turn on a computer you need to go to setup- usually by hitting delete or f10. Look for anything that says boot drive priority and move cd-rom to the top of the list. Save and exit and this may solve your problem.
Also, if this new drive has malfunctioned in any way the computer will stop trying to boot from it.

get the compitable update driver cd from your vista dealer.and install that cd . then it will work properly.this problem is faced by many of the clients using vista .but the compitable update driver cd will solve the problem.

The CD is not guaranteed to work with Vista, however there are some links on RCA's website to attempt to download updated programs that where present on the CD. Here is the link: http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/faq.aspx?product=27

I am running Vista Enterprise and my Pearl works fine just by using the drag and drop features of Windows Explorer to place the .mp3 or .wma files on the device.
