SOURCE: sound stutters

Def. sounds like a software driver problem - but not for the spkrs - but for the sound card. Do a "Windows Update", selecting "Custom" in lieu of "Express". After it inventories which updates apply to your system, over on the left of the screen, click on "Hardware Updates" - see if there are any drivers listed for your sound card. Select them, and click on "Install Updates". If not, determine *exactly* which sound card you have, go to the manuf. website, look for drivers for Windows XP, download/install.

SOURCE: My sound stutters on my Dell Inspion 6400 whenever I put a DVD in

You are very welcome. I am glad I could help. Apparently what happens is that the drive takes errors and XP downgrades the transfer mode. Once that happens you will have flaky problems, another problem you will see when this has occured is when you try to burn a CD or DVD. It might burn for a while and then just towards the end it will fail.

Thank you for letting me know it worked.

SOURCE: engine stuttering upon acceleration

Sounds like your transmission is shot... but I'm not sure... Generally when you have problems while shifting gears it's the tranny isn't it? I'd get it looked at.

SOURCE: ipod stutters and stops downloading youtube

Start by syncing your iPod with your computer. When you do this, the iPod management screen will appear. Midway down that screen there's a button that reads "Restore." Click the restore button. This begins the process of restoring the iPod to its factory settings. After you click the restore button, iTunes will ask you to confirm that you really want to do this. If your iPod content is backed up, go ahead. The iPod restore process includes iTunes downloading and installing iPod software and bug fixes. You will see a window that looks like this. Follow the onscreen instructions. **On a Mac, you will be asked to enter your computer?s password. On Windows, the installation will just proceed. As iTunes restores the iPod, you will see a progress bar. After the restoration process has completed, iTunes will pop up a window letting you know that it?s done. Now you?ve got an empty, freshly formatted iPod. Now you can sync the iPod with your computer and download your iTunes library again.

How do I fix my ps4's audio stutters. I have it hooked up directly to my SANSUI HDMI tv via HDMI cord.

Could it be the internet connection sometimes is not fast enough? or someone else is downloading from the net the same time, or just streaming music or video over the net. All kind of reasons why the sound could stutters.

Audio stutters

Hi. If it worked fine when on Vista, try to uninstall the existing audio driver and then download the latest available audio driver from acer for your notebook. I suspect that the native driver from XP is what is being used.

if that does not work, try to uninstall the audio driver again and try to download the Univeral Audio Architecture (UAA) from Microsoft by going to the following link:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111

From there, you will find the View and Request Hotfix link where you can get the hotfix for the UAA. After installing it, reboot the computer and test your audio again. Be sure to also open Sound Properties in the Control Panel and verify that the default playback device is selected correctly. Adjust the speaker settings as desired. It may alsp be a good idea to test the audio using external speakers or headphones to check if the stutter occurs only using the internal speakers.

Hope this helps.

My car stutters for then it is ok on till i turn it off for a while then turn it on again the same thing happens

Hello and welcome to Fixya!
I suspect that you have a faulty MAF (mass air flow) sensor. The MAF controls the vacuum supply of the car and if there's irregularity on vacuum supply the car will surely stutter.
You may check the IACV (idle air control valve) too. If it's clogged with dirt, air won't pass that's why it stutters. Try to clean it with a carburetor cleaner. If cleaned and still acts up, have it replaced to resolve the issue.
Hope this helps and thank you for using Fixya! Have a good one!

My mouse keeps stuttering, I really don't know why. I changed the batteries and installed the latest drivers available. It works on and off. The stuttering really makes it unusable. I'm not sure what I...

RF wireless technology can easily be compromised. Anything can interfere with connection from an appliance running to the surrounding walls and of course electro-magnetic interference. My suggestion is to look for a keyboard/mouse that uses bluetooth wireless technology.

Car stutters when excellerating

This could be caused by a old muffler. The sound dampening material inside the muffler may have become loose from driving and it now causing your car to backfire and stutter when accelerating.

Stuttering problem

Is there perhaps an indication that your CPU is throttling back due to overheating? That might explain the sound (BIOS and chipset-generated.) Try checking your temperatures and system event logs.
It could be that your video drivers are really wacky somehow, but loose heatsinks or bad airflow sound likelier. (Of course you'd reinstall the heatsink and paste and correct the airflow to bring cool air in and exhaust it once it passed heatsinks.) Oh...and you could probably stand to have more DDR2.
