Question about Computers & Internet
I have a HP DV5000Z laptop. I bought a new TSSTcorp TS-L632 (B) drive. When installed, Windows 8 automatically installed the driver for TS-L462A drive (not TS-L632). It is writing CDs, reading DVDs but not writing DVDs. Can anyone please help? I have already tried installing, uninstalling drivers etc. but I could not find TS-L632 driver on internet and Windows never got away from TS-462L. Please please please help.
First check that your drive is indeed a DVD writer and not a 'hybrid' i.e. CD writer and DVD reader. If it is, go on the manufacturer's site and see if they have Win 8 compatible drivers - Win 8 is a fairly new OS so they may not have had time to get a new one out.

Testimonial: "Hi Negusc, Thank for help buddy. I see that the DVD writer came with a tag of 632 but actually it is model 462, which is not a DVD writer drive. It is a CDW/DVD combo. I am going to contact the dealer and ask for replacement. Thank you and Regards."
