Convergence problem I have a panasonic hdtv projection monitor (pt-53wx53) all of a sudden the bottom of the scene gave a doubling effect, blueish coloring.I believe it to be a convergence problem. when I try to correct it I can't get the blue cross to go down to match up the cross, it goes side to side only.

Replace the convergence ICs they will be big black ICs and will have Part number on them example STK392-110
Mats Electronics has them for 9.95 each you will need 2 .

This is the convergence chips. They are 18 pin Amplifier IC Chips that control your three tubes to line the colors up. They are only about $20 each (there is two of them). They are difficult to replace if you dont know how to solder/unsolder. There is usually at least one resistor or fuse that will blow when the chips go out, you must replace this also. If you have no experience in electronics then i'd suggest you take the set to a pro.
convergence ICs need replacement there are two STK392-110 Convergence ICs in that model, Also check the 2.2 ohm 2watt resistors there are 6 of them in that model.

You probably need to change out the semiconductors. The parts are STK392-110. There are two of them, one for horizontal and one for vertical. Search it online more.
