Question about FixYa Service

FIXYA NOT PAYING PEOPLE?!

Okay, alot of people have been saying that FixYa hasn't been paying them their money, for answering questions. I'm just wondering if that is true or not.

No idea. It might be the fact that they don't ask for your Zip Code in your contact details. :-p

Unknown. I stopped answering the Premium questions as it seemed there were so many people jumping on them. I find I get more satisfaction in the freebie areas.
Do you have any where you were given the credit for it and not received money? I can't help but wonder if they think they get the money just for posting an answer as opposed to posting THE answer the customer selected? Interesting to find out about this even if I'm not in it for the bucks.

Unfortunately you have posted to the world wide web - the internet - something that has nothing to do with FIXYA.

FIXYA is a service to answer repair questions.

Recent website outage led me to search about fixya. Found many people saying they were getting paid for answers, and others saying they were being charged for asking questions. What the deal?

I'm fairly new to this site, and all I know is I'm not getting paid. I like to help people, maybe some are trying to take advantage of people. I do know there are some sites that do charge for the help, but I haven't found that to be the case on here.

Hello my brother do you can help me i'm awnt to know how to earn money from fixya please hepl me

Hi there,

To begin earning money using FixYa, you need to sign up and begin answering questions. You need to advance to a Premium Expert to start earning money so you can solve questions.

To sign up, go to the fixya.com website and click the link on the right hand side of that screen that says: 'Become and expert'. You can then sign up and begin answering questions.

Why don't you guys say in LARGE print upfront that you charge? Not complaining just curious... don't answer it if there is a charge :-)

Actually, FixYa gave you a choice of paying for premium service or staying with the free service, as you did with this question.

Where is the low side a/c port?

The answer to your question is simple. Unless you are a licensed a/c repair person, you are not allowed to work on any a/c units. Unfortunately this means going someplace and paying alot of money.

These are state and federal laws with fines and jail time.

This question is actually for the fixya team can someone tell me how is it possible that a fixya member can ask unlimited questions for one month if he has paid 9.99$ / month member ship whereas on...

You have understood well.
Paying $9.99 you can ask unlimited question to the vast crowd of selected Fixya experts.
Paying $12 you will ask only a single question, but your question will be passed first only to Fixya Top expert.
If the problem is simple, or if you have several questions on different topics, better to purchase the Fixya Unlimited subscription.
If you think that your problem is of more difficult resolution, then better to purchase the $12 single shot question.
Top experts occasionally can also answer the $9.99 questions, but have priority only on $12 ones.
Hope this clarified your concerns.
Thanks for asking us and goodbye.
Ginko.

Fridge won't maintain low temp

Thanks for your question!
I'm sorry that you haven't received an answer yet.
The response rate on FixYa FREE questions is usually over 80%, but sometimes questions go un-answered when:
1. the question is unclear, incomplete, or poorly worded...
2. the question is mis-categorized - so the correct experts aren't viewing it...
3. the question requires an answer for something that cannot be explained online adequately...
4. specific training, tools, or equipment are required to avoid injury or death...
5. the Experts that are online simply don't have the resources to answer your question fully...
Please feel free to re-work your question if you feel one of these may be the reason.
Of course you are not required - but converting your question to a PAID one usually increases the reply rate as well.
Normal rates for FixYa are...
$ 9.99 answer for one question.
$12.99 Live Real-Time online chat or premium e-mail support.
$29.99 Live Real Time phone support
Sometimes FixYa will run specials for unlimited questions via monthly subscription or reduced rates for limited periods.

Consider the savings that can be had when an informed Expert can save you a $100 service call, or a $350 trip to the car dealership.
Your problem solved - guaranteed! Or your money back!!

If you don't want to pay - feel free to re-submit your question so it returns back to the top of the work queue if you still need help.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for helping with your FREE question
