I have a wireless problem with my hp compaq nx6310

The bottom has two user removeable covers. The first covers the hard drive and the second has the CPU, both RAM slots, and the Broadcom wireless card.

HP/Compaq ONLY provides drivers for Windows 2000, Win XP, and Win Vista for this model of laptop. It is based on OLD hardware and they are NOT going to write any Win7 drivers for it. If you want to use the wireless features, you can TRY to make the Vista wireless drivers work with it, but I don't think you'll have much success. Of course, you can always install Win2k, WinXP, or WinVista again...

it will either be the batery is no good, or adapter ot the port on your laptop

You need to download the driver from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP or Vista Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Use this link to download the drivers

Window Vista- Go To Control Panel, then go to Mobile PC, then Window Mobility Center, then go to the top right of the mobility center and click on Turn Wireless On

Start your system enter BIOS, under the configuration settings disable SATA NATIVE MODE. Save changes and exit. Boot from the CD format.

What I notice is when they install a wireless card they change the model #. try looking for the model that shares the same case. bluetooth and wireless network cards are differant. All most all pc's are blue tooth ready. I use a doogle for bluetooth
