Hello ,im curious as to whether your using component cables from the dvd to the tv (red,green,blue) if so than i suggest you check those because it sounds like your missing a color,check the red cable specifically.

is ur dvd player in an inclosed area because they need air and some more than others. is the device getting hot to the tuch. if it is then put somthing under the corners of the dvd player to raise it up. this should stop it from over heating. also try cleaning it. please rate my suggestion. thanks

If the Sled-Mechanism of Optical Lens doesn't work properly, this message "please wait" will be display. Your home theater has complicated disc loadimg mechanism and a skilled person can fix this problem. Please contact your nearest Sony service shop.

Hello, your home theatre system is from the year 2003. Maybe a cleaning the optical can solve the problem. There are cleaning CD kits on the market, but better option is if a pro does it (the cleaning) for you. If you need more assistance please advice. Arpi
