FAILING TO DRAIN AND TO COMPLETE CYCLE

The machine stops as soon as the water goes in. It is no more than 2 minutes into the cycle. I suspect my waste outlet pipe may be blocked but there are no fault lights on the door to hint at this. I have to empty the bottom of the machine manually and there is no obvious blockage at the drainage point inside on the floor of the machine.

SOURCE: Inlet/outlet light comes on

Machine is possibly not filling with correct amount of water if this light comes on early in the cycle

SOURCE: Miele G638 dishwasher.

Hi John I have the same problem, the manual says that it is because the water level is to low, this is checked by opening the door after the machine has stopped filling and before it starts to wash, the level should be 4mm above the main plastic filter ring, the level has two settings, these can be adjusted by pressing the start button and the On/Off button at the same time, release the start button and turn the control to economy 45,if the start light does not come on the level is set to normal, to increase level press the start button again and the light should come on, this will give you an increased filling time. it did no help me but it may help you. good luck

SOURCE: Error code OE; dishwasher stops with error message 2 min into cycle, drainage seems OK, water doesn't appear to pump into machine - any advice?

Hi,
The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is:
1. Blocked drain hose
2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction)
3. Failing drain motor.
else you need to REPLACE THE PCB POWER CONTROL BOARD
Good Luck!!!

I have a top laoder whirlpool8564990 it don´t spin well it leaves my clothes soaked and it goes to spinning cycle yet it don´t spin

From the information you have supplied, I suspect that the machine is not draining the water away,
1] Check that the drain pump is working (it would be easier to hear it running, before the machine starts the spin cycle, or if your machine has a "drain down" feature)
2] If the pump is running, stop the machine and unplug it from the mains power. Remove the machine drain tube from the point where it is plumbed into the household waste pipe, and lay it down into a bucket, or large pan and allow the water to drain down [ you should expect to get up to 2 gallons (10 Litres) of water from the machine]
Allow the water to drain down completely by holding the drain hose as low as possible into the bucket.
3] once the water has drained completely, remove the drain hose from the pump and check that the drain hose is not blocked.
4] If the hose was clear, and the pump was running (in tests [1] & [2] ), it will be necessary to check that the drain pump, and the main hose from the tub to the pump are clear of obstructions.
Remove any foreign objects, and re-assemble the hoses to the pump to the machine, and the drain hose to the domestic plumbing.

Plug the machine into the mains power, and and set the machine to run on the "last rinse" and "spin" cycles and test to see if the problem has been rectified.

I hope this helps cure your problem.

LG Turbodrum DD 8.5kg WT-R852 washing machine, will not completely fill with water to water, to initiate the wash cycle, wash process stops there.

THE WASHER IS OBVIOUSLY HAVING A PROBLEM DETECTING THE WATER LEVEL? IT DETECTS AS FULL WHEN ITS NOT AND THEN GOES INTO DRAIN CYCLE? THE FILLS AGAIN? I would suspect the water pressure switch but if it was detecting a full cycle it would sent it into wash cycle? the water inlet valve only allows the amount of water it is told to send in and does not control the amount or drain cycle. Im not sure here but Im thinking maybe the water level switch may be flawed, the one that has low-medium and high? all these can be checked with a multimeter

How do I replace the water pump

Not enough information, are you stating when you start the cycle no water enters the tub?
The normal operation at start the washer goes into drain first then starts the cycle.

Whirpool Duet Sport: Stopping at start of cycle, cylce too long

If it is a manual timer, I would look there; if it's a digital timer, I would start at the solenoid. It may not be filling correctly and waiting for the fill to complete. Solenoids don't last long and are usually the first to go. Other than that, all you can do is put in a load and watch where it has a problem.

Just had the exact same issue with my F&P it would stay in the drain cycle(without draining). It would show 2 minutes left in the cycle, dropping to 1 minute, but would never complete the cycle.
For some reason the machine would not drain the water from the drum and would continually remain in the drain cycle, spinning the load(back & forth), but not draining the water.
----------
This is how I sorted the machine: -
1. I turned off & unplugged the machine.
2. I drained the machine manually. Opening the manual drain compartment located at the bottom right of the machine.
a). Firstly drained the majority of the water using the small black hose into a plastic container(ice cream container will be fine). Took a little while as the machine was quite full and I also didn't want to flood the laundry.
b). Once I had drained most of the water I undid the filter plug to drain the remainder of the water, which wasn't too much & was able to mop up with a towel. I gave the filter a good clean, removing as much build up in there(which in actuality was very little lint, gunk, etc. Though I did find a small button & a collar stay wedged in there).
3). I blew very hard into the washing machine drain hose a few times(read this on another forum so thought I'd give it a try!). Use a plastic bag, etc. to cover the hose etc. for hygiene purposes :)
4). I then plugged & turned on the machine. The machine went straight back into the 2 minute drain cycle. It attempted to drain/pump remaining water, however this time machine successfully went through the 2 minute drain cycle. Machine stopped, counted down, click and I was able to open the door.
I put the washing through a rinse setting to see whether the machine would complete cycle. I can happily report that the machine completed the rinse cycle on the washing with no issues. I also put through another load to see if it would complete a full wash cycle, which I can report it happily did so.
This may have just saved me a grand$ :)
Good luck.
cheers

Water won't drain

Hi,

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

* Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.

* Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.

* Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.

* If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.

Thank you !!
