I Have an LG-VX8700 Shine phone. I have dragged and dropped pictures from my computer to the phone. They show icons, but I can't view them. ANybody know how to fix this.
Problem actually solved before I downloaded. Pix were EXifJPEG. Changed format to straight JPEG and we could see them.

The 'Error Code 621' means that there are corrupted files or missing system files. In another way, it can be a virus so you need to run a registry scan to check for errors. You can get the repair tool here: http://microsoft.pcerror.info/errorcode/error%20code%20621.html?gclid=CNSTiP2LrZ8CFYItpAodHBla1A
first you will need the usb and mini usb plug. plug the usb end into your computer, then plug the mini usb into ur phone . it will pop up on your computer as found new hardware then windows will proceed to install it . then u can go to your pictures and right click the picture u wish to transfer. click send to wat ever drive ur phone will be using. or you can open the drive that the phone is on and copy past.or drag and drop. either way will work. if you have a memory card in your phone u can plug insert that into the card reader on ur computer. and copy past or drag & drop
Assuming your Shine doesn't pack up before too long (mine did).
Connect it to your computer via the USB cable, which should connect it as a mass storage device by default (if not, consult your manual to change the connectivity setting), then drag and drop your music files to the 'sounds' folder of your phone. Or the 'sounds/MP3' folder if you use MP3 files.
You really dont need any software to transfer files to and from your phone, provided you have a memory card in it. Attach the phone to the usb cable, and the cable to a usb port, and your pc will recognize your memeory card as an external mass storage device, then you simply drag and drop your audio files on to the card.
you will need a memory card reader for your san disk buy it on CDR-KING or PC STORE to able to browse files on your san disk it easily save picture on san disk just drag and drop the picture on your san disk drive like e: find the picture folder inside your san disk by right click san disk drive [E:] then click search then on the field saying All or part of the file name: type the Picture then search if you see picture open it up then drag and drop your picture you want on san disk.
The LG Shine allows you to do a multiple picture DELETE - but not a multiple pic transfer to memory card, at least that I've found. You have to transfer your pics one at a time from phone memory to the SD card as follows:
Select Menu --> 8 My Stuff --> 4 Pictures Highlight the pic you want to transfer using the center toggle button, then select Options --> 5 Move (or 4 Copy) --> 2 Memory Card --> Paste
Once your pics are on the memory card then put the phone into USB mode by selecting Menu --> 9 Settings --> 7 Connection --> 2 USB Connection Mode --> 2 Mass Storage
Then attach a suitable USB cable to the phone at the charging jack and open Explorer (Windows) or Finder(Mac) and navigate to the phone. Your pictures will appear and you can copy them to your computer as needed.
NOTE: be sure to return the phone from Mass Storage mode to Data Service or your phone will not work.
Also - set your phone to highest resolution for best quality pics. Menu --> 8 My Stuff --> 7 Camera and Recordings --> 1 Take Photo --> Options --> 4 Resolution --> 1 1600x1200
the way i do it is i go to my pictures and select the picture i want to upload to the computer but i dont open it, i press options than go to move and push memory card than paste and than when you plug in your phone it should pop up put pictures on computer from device =] i hope this helps
You gotta go to your lg shine, set the connection as MUSIC SYNC, and then open up windows media player
it should say LG PHONE or something like that, and drag n drop your music files.
do I download it to my computer or my phone?
