I have a 740003pc the cold tap wont stop running

If you mean the drain valve, the cheapest, easiest fix is to buy a hose cap at the hardware store and cap it off. If you mean the relief valve which is located on the top or upper half of the heater, you must replace the relief valve. Do Not cap the relief valve it is a safety feature. If it leaks again you may have further issues

How to turn off water heater it is leaking all over the floor

There should be a valve on the water supply line just above the water heater. There may just be a drain spicket located at the bottom of the water heater that is leaking. You may just be able to put a cap on it or try to turn it tighter to stop leaking.

I just noticed that my hot water heater that is 6 years old is dripping very slowly from the bottom faucet, how can i stop this leak. thank you.

If you mean the drain valve, then buy garden hose cap at home center.
Cap will have rubber washer that seals tank.
If drain valve is plastic, the cap may not thread on without sanding down end of plastic drain valve.
Otherwise replace drain valve, which is simple if drain valve is brass, but can be difficult if drain valve is plastic.
Turn off power to water heater: Electric: turn off circuit breaker. Gas: turn knob to pilot.
Turn off water, open bathtub spigot on Hot side, drain water heater, remove drain valve with wrench.
If plastic drain valve breaks while being removed, then 'gently' break out broken part using hammer and big screwdriver.
Buy new drain valve at box store in water heater department.
Put teflon tape on new drain valve threads.

Slight water leak from plastic drain fitting on rheem fury 40 gal gas water heater

You can try to crack it open and get a little piece of crud out of there, I'm sure that is all it is, Just get a tray or something to catch the water, It should stop it, If it gets worse, turn the water off to the heater, then open the valve and hope the bigger piece of crud comes out. It is about all you can do, other than drain the whole thing and take the valve apart and replace the rubber in it. Check it out, Hope this helps.

Water leaking from the bottom of the big PVC pipe parallel to the water heater

What is the leaking pvc pipe connected to? The T & P valve on the side (or top) of the tank? Or is it an incoming cold or outgoing hot water line? If you have just lit the water heater, the T & P valve may drip, but only for a little while and it will stop. The T & P (temperature and pressure relief) valve may be bad and need replaced. Turn off the incoming cold water valve and turn the gas valve to off position. Then drain the water heater using the T & P valve, it will stop draining when the water level is just below it. Remove the T&P valve and replace with new one. Use thread sealing tape on threads. Or call a plumber if not sure.

Hot water tank leak

drain valve must have already been leaking, that's why someone put the cap on. It's ok to cap the drain but never the pressure/temp relief. If the water is coming out of the drain (not around it) you could either replace the cap or the drain valve to stop the leak - otherwise it's time for a new water heater.
