They're partially correct. What you need to do is open Control Panel and choose Add or Remove Programs. Scroll down to Microsoft Office 2007 and select Change (NOT Remove). A window should open that gives you the option to Repair. Select that option and it should resolve your issue.
If your using Windows 7 it's a slightly different process. Open Control Panel, click Programs and Features, then select Office 2007 and select Change. Once again choose Repair and you should be good to go.
