KITCHENAID OVEN MODEL KEMS 308 SELF CLEANING

Good Morning,
Sometimes an F5E1 will appear when the control board is faulty.. because it isn't properly driving the door latch circuit properly. If the door latch assembly is fully functional, we recommend sending in your oven control board to Fixyourboard.com for testing and/or repairs. Reach out to them at 512-355-1108 or [email protected] They also have replacement touchpads for this model oven if needed.

Whirlpool TXFE366LVQ. When I turn selfclean after few minutes it shuts itself off and displays code F5E2

An F5 error code indicates that you need to check the oven door or the latching switch. The switch is used when cleaning the oven, for safe closure. If you find that the door or the latch switch do not function, you may need to replace them
F5-E2 means latch during clean error; the door and latch switch need checking and possible replacement.

1. If door latched:
  1. Disconnect power from unit.
  2. Check wires and connectors from control to door switch, then from door switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to step C.
  3. Replace door switch.
  4. Re-apply power.
  5. Press and hold any key down for 1 minute to clear F5 failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.
2. If door not latched:
  1. Disconnect power from unit.
  2. Check wires and connectors from control to latch switch, then from latch switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to step C.
  3. Repeat steps A and B for door switch.
3. Measure door switch (door open = switch open small low voltage terminals). Replace switch if defective.
4. Measure latch switch (unlatch = switch open, CAUTION - oven light contacts are closed). Replace switch if defective.
5. If corrections are made in any step, reconnect power to control. Press and hold any key for 1 minute to clear R failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.
6. If failure remains, disconnect power and replace control.

Hope helps.

Upper oven turn on and off then puts f9

F9 indicates a problem with the door latch circuit. Holding the door in the open position, push in the door switch until the cavity light goes off. Put the upper oven in the clean cycle and watch to see if the door latch cycles.

If the door latch mechanism is working correctly, the latch should stop in the closed position (the door will not shut all the way now). If the door latch does not even move and the F9 error appears, which is highly likely, you definitely have a problem with the latch circuit. (If the door latch did cycle to the closed position, cancel the self-clean mode to cycle the latch back to the open position.)

First, check that there are no loose wires on the door latch switches. Also check that none of the wires are pinched between the latch mechanism and the Oven Control Unit. Repair any wires that may be damaged and reconnect any connections that maybe loose. If you have just made any repairs, try putting the oven into bake mode with the door closed and test.

If there was no wiring that needed repaired and all connections looked good, test each of the door switches to be operating properly. Disconnect the wires from one switch at a time and perform a continuity test on the switch. In the open position your meter should read "OL", in the closed position it should emit a tone, or read "0.0". If either switch fails this test, replace the switch and test your oven again.

If none of the above conditions exist, the Oven Control is not reading input from the door latch sensor and needs to be replaced.

My self-cleaning oven door will not latch. Displays error code dr

HI, This code will appear when there are serious issue that concern the integrity of the door latch mechanism. The control is unable to carry out the lock command, due to this mechanism failing, in this case. This damaged door latch assembly should be replaced asap. Once placed, the unit will preform correctly.

NOTE_ There is a possibility, that the door latch wires are loose. I would gain access to the door latch assembly, if possible, to inspect the wring that is linking the control to the actual door latch. Make sure the wiring harness is connected properly, and that the contacts are not damaged. If all is well, replace the door latch assembly
