This is a tutu with a flat top that sticks straight out from the ballerina's waistline. It is very similar to the pancake tutu, though the top of the tutu is almost completely flat, where the pancake tutu is a bit fuller at the top.

I HAVE A PIONEER PL-30 TURNTABLE AND I NEED TO REMOVE THE 'PLATTER' IN ORDER TO REPLACE THE BELT. THERE IS NO CLIP TO REMOVE. HOW DO I GET THE 'PLATTER' OFF. AGAIN THERE IS NO CLIP FOR REMOVAL.

Pull up on the platter with one hand after you remove the rubber mat. Then hit the center post with a rubber mallet while pulling up on the platter with on hand just hard enough to release the platter from the post. The platter should come off.

How do you put on a drive belt?

Hi Janie, Thanks for your question. To replace a drive belt.
1, Remove the rubber platter mat to expose the platter.
2. Put your thumb and forefinger through the two round holes and lift the platter off. You may need to give the centre spindle a light tap (whilst applying upward pressure) with a screwdriver handle or some similar tool that will not leave any marks or damage.
3. Remove the old belt and wipe the platter pulley and motor pulley with an alcohol swab to remove any old belt residue.
4. Place the new belt around the platter pulley making sure t is sitting flat without any twists.
5. Flip platter over the right way up. There are1or 2 larger rectangle shaped cut outs in the platter.
6. Through the cut out pinch up the belt and slip a finger or belt hook between the platter pulley and the belt gripping the belt ready to fit over the motor pulley.
7. Align the centre hole of the platter with the spindle and place platter back into position keeping a grip on the belt.
8. Slip belt over motor pulley and give the platter a light clockwise rotation to ensre the belt is riding correctly.
9. Replace the rubber mat and then run the turntable to ensure correct operation.
Job done.

Note the new belt should sit on the platter pulley and not fall off when the platter is flipped over the correct way up.

When changing speeds between 33 and 45 always be sure that the platter is turning to ensure proper placement and rpm.

All the best, John. [email protected]

Belt location

1) Remove the platter - just lift up
2) Underneath the platter, you'll see a small lip section
3) Wrap the belt around this lip
4) Put platter back on turntable
5) Rotate platter until you see the motor shaft through the holes on the platter - a brass round looking piece
6) Pinch the belt around the motor shaft.
7) That's it.

I had to order a belt for my turntable that was disinagrated so I dont know how to put the new one on. could you please either show me a picture of how it goes on or explain

First, remove the rubber mat (platter cover)
Next, there should be 2 oval shaped slots in the aluminum platter.
Carefully rotate platter until you can see the drive motor pulley through one of these slots. Lift straight upwards on platter to remove it. On the underneath side of the platter, there is a surface that is approximately half the diameter of the platter. Place the new belt around this surface, ensuring that it is not twisted.
Fun part.....Turn the platter right side up and insert index finger through on of the oval slots. Slip belt over finger between belt and platter "pulley" surface. Carefully reinstall platter with finger/belt slot lining up with drive motor pulley. Slip belt over drive motor pulley and remove finger, making sure the belt is not twisted. Now, manually rotate the platter to check for proper belt movement.....if all is well, reinstall rubber mat (platter cover) This concludes belt installation.
