Mixvibes U-MIX44 doesn't give sound in games

Hi i'm having some troubles with my u-mix 44 soundcard. When i use it for my DAW's or for other music it has a signal and i can hear sound. However, when i want to play a game on my pc (it doesn't happen a lot but still), i can't hear sound from my speakers. Can anyone help me with this?

Right-click the speaker icon in the Notification area and look at all Playback settings; some settings might be muted, or not selected. There might be two speaker icons if you're running special software for the soundcard.

SOURCE: 5.1 surround not working

I uninstalled the previous audio software that the computer had. (Realtek HD audio) and turned off the onboard sound card in the BIOS settings. Then I went back and uninstalled all the new audio software and reinstalled it with all antivirus programs turned off. The main trick was to make sure that the matrix is turned off. If it is on it will play sound from all the speakers at once as if it were mono. Turning it off after changing the BIOS and uninstalling the old software and reinstalling the new allowed it to work properly. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: I have a Dell Dimension 9100 and Creative

Ok
Do the following, power up the PC and hit F12
Select DIAGNOSTICS - let em load and run only the sound test. This will make sure the speakers and cable are working. (make sure thewy are plugged into the right hole) then power on the system and hit F2 to enter the BOIS and make sure you disable on the on-board sound card. This is the one that is on the motherboard not the add in card.
Reboot the system and then try your speakers in the SB card and see what happens
Hope this healps you
Mark

SOURCE: emachines 180 desktop sound problems

Plug in ONLY the regular wired speakers and ONLY to the green port on the back.

Make sure they are powered up and the volume is about half way.

Ok now you need to call up ether the sound card application or preferably the windows volume control from the bottom toolbar.

Click Open Volume Control.

A box with sliders in should appear. make sure that volume control, wave, sw synth, aux, cd player, line in
are all about half way and that none of them have ticks in the box at the bottom.

If any of those are missing click options then properties from the top left and put a tick besides any that were missing (nothing else)
Now close the slider box.

Put a normal music cd in your cd/dvd player on the computer and set it to play with windows media player.
You should now have sound out of the speakers.

Double check that EVERYTHING is ok.
If there is still no sound check the control panle for any hardware issues and rectify those

SOURCE: Hi, The game, Nancy Drew: Danger

The first thing you should try, is to update both JAVA and Flash. If it uses those, that is likely the issue.

Here are the links:
http://www.java.com/en/download/inc/windows_upgrade_xpi.jsp

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Be sure to uncheck the boxes that install toolbars. Also, it wouldn't hurt to make sure that Windows is up to date. Click the Start button, click All Programs, and then click Windows Update.

How can I set this up in another daw?

I've come across this problem before in Cubase 4. Is your computer in a compartment in a desk, if so pull the computer forward so that the leads going into the soundcard are not squashed up and putting pressure on the soundcard. try it , it could be a quick fix

Set up x2 cdj 850 djm 350 mixer u-mix44 cross laptop..problam,my laptop does not seem to be recognising the u44,there is a usb showing in speaker section of windows but it is not the mixvibes one.i ha

Im by no means an expert but just offering a few suggestions I had similar problem ,for me it turned out to be my laptop I thought I bought a bells and whistles Lenovo ,but just my luck the model which I thought was perfect turns out to be the only 1 that cannot record external audio which amazed me, it was due to the in and out for audio used the same 3.5 jack port , which I didn't even consider as i was connecting via usb but apparently on my model only it does. (im not saying that's the issue you have tho) I assume you installed sound card drivers and made it default INPUT device. and you are coming out the record out of mixer, have you tried going from mixer direct to line in on laptop using using red/white audio to 3.5 jack lead (make sure levels are right down to start with), oh and have you installed cdj drivers on pc ive got 850's and you must do that according to pioneer manual .
good luck

Ecu not giving signal to injectors?

Hi Daw, As you've already checked the crankshaft sensor, sounds to me as if the problem may be from the camshaft pickup sensor. If that one also proves fine you'll need to have the anti theft system re-coded. The anti theft unit cuts the injection. Regards John

Hi i have connected all the cables up correctly & have it all working except i have some sort of interferance coming through.i have a contant crackling & on & off buzzing sound, sound like...

First thing: Make sure ALL and I do mean ALL of your interconnected equipment is POWERED from the SAME receptacle. Powering different parts from different receptacles in a building will surely get ground bounce buzz and ALSO subject the equipment to hazards of circuit damage.
The audio connecting cables should be BALANCED lines where possible... either XLR or TRS cables. Problems like you are having are common when CONSUMER grade equipment is mixed with PROFESSIONAL equipment. Anyway, get all the stuff powered from the same receptacle and get back to me if you still have the problem. Note you may have to run three wire extension cords if devices are separated a bit... the pro's have to do that to avoid noise. All devices should have three wire (grounding) cords and/or grounding wires connecting chassis...

My first laptop crashed and want to install mixvibes into my new laptop, but it doesn't have a cd drive, i still have the product key, too

Take a USB memory-stick and the CD-ROM media to a computer that does have a CD-drive.
Copy all the MIXVIBES files from the media to the memory-stick.

Move the memory-stick to your computer.
Install MIXVIBES from the files on the memory-stick.

When prompted, enter the product-key.
