That really depends what kind of diet you are taking on. If you are just cutting back then there is a place for Asian food in your diet, just maybe less frequently than before. If you are doing a low-carb diet, you can still eat the stir fry but leave out the rice options.
Appetite suppressors can help obese and overweight people to kick start a diet. But they aren't' meant for long term use. The hope being that the user will learn new healthy eating habits. If behavioral changes don't accompany the weight loss, then when the tablets are stopped, it's very likely that the weight will be regained.
