You cannot take the cabinet apart - because of the precise angles of the internal reflectors.

However, you can take the projector out to lighten your load.

A few screws on the back should allow the projector box to slide out of the cabinet. This is done for servicing issues - you simply take in the projector to be serviced rather than the entire carcass!!

Good morning, I am in the moving business and have a customer that wants me to move their large TV Mitsubishi medallion tv. She thinks is comes apart in two peices for easy moving and I need instructions...

If the model is a WS-65809 that sey doesnt come apart. Actually very few rear projection TVs can be seperated Some RCA TVs can be disassembled to several pieces. Also I would let customer know that because a CRT TV has three CRTs that are aligned to each other , Moving the TV will cause the convergence to be adjusted. Based on model it can be just pressing the auto convergence option with the remote, But older rear projection TVs (2003 and older) have been known to blow ICs after a move when trying to reset the convergence. The ICs weaken over age and they can blow anytime the convergence adjustment feature is used, so its always a good thing to let someone know that even if very careful when being moved there set may develop convergence issues after a move because its a 3 CRT rear projection TV

Can you easily seperate the top and bottom of the ws 65807 for moving?

Yes. I have the ws-65809, which is virtually the same model. There are 4 rubber plugs that come out on the sides of the TV. under these are four screws. WARNING! You must disconnect the wires connected to the screen before removing the screen or removing the top half of the TV. If you don't the wires will rip out. I believe they disconnect with 2 clips.

Red and blue streaks across the screen top and bottom

The Convergence Amp IC's are bad. You should call a good TV Tech for this repair.

Horrible picture on top & bottom of screen

I wouldnt reccommend that you try to fix it as it is a lot easier to make it worse that better. Basically your color guns have gotten un focused and will need to be adjusted. Call a tv tech and they can usually fix it for a decent price.

Good Day, kammey;
Sounds like your TV is having a Convergence Circuit failure. NOT an easy repair, so, call an Authorized Factory Service Center to come to your home and give an estimate B4 repair, $450.00-$650.00, depending on your location and the cost of gas. Good Luck, big IRISH.
