SOURCE: I am looking to buy either a dx48t or dx95t
both are hi powered, approx 140 to 150 watts, radios that need about 14 amps of power to be safe, watts divided by volts=amps needed.if you want to plug and talk i suggest something 80 watts or less.
SOURCE: galaxy 33 no audio from speaker. i have a galaxy
Check the receive wire on the plug end of the mike, and the receive wire inside of the mike, just a starting point. ..hope this was helpful.....
SOURCE: can't talk about 2 miles ,swr is good
If your talking at least 2 then it sounds like it is the antenna. Any antenna should talk 10-12 miles on a good day, no matter what radio you're using. So I'd get a second look at that system.

You have some good and bad information here NO Noise filter goes into the Coax line ever. The Noise filter goes into the DC power line feeding the radio. However it is best to determine what the noise source is and fix the problem. The part about unhooking the coax goes like this disconnect the coax does the noise go away? if it does NO Noise filter will help, instead fix the problem. if it is still there likely you can filter it out with a common DC Line filter available at most any good Car Stereo Shop. The closer the filter to the radio the better it works,
