Hello
I have yamaha home theatre sound system Tss-1
which I have hooked up to my computer. I had to move my computer to another location in the house and when I hooked it back up again there is no sound. I tried the sound test on the home theatre system and I get sound out of the five speakers. I have one cord going from the home theatre sound system plugged into analog input surround and on the computer the cord is plugged into Line In slot for sound on the back of the CPU. Do you have any ideas how to fix this problem?
If the sound files are to be coming from the computer then the sound system must be connected to the line out jack.If the sound files are to be coming from the computer then the sound system must be connected to the line out jack.

It just depends on the tv you have. If you hook up the RCA jacks to the (Audio out) of the TV into one of the (AUX in) ports of the home Theatre system you should be able to geet the sound that comes from the TV to play out the theatre system. If you are watching through a cable box you will need to hook the RCA cables to the cable box (Audio out) too the theatre systems (AUX in), in insted.
if your tv and home theatre system as all hdmi or component hook ups then follow these steps but only use all one or the other cables.
1. hook the cable from the ps3 to the home theatre "imput slot" (you choose which one you want to use)
2. hook a cable to the output slot on the home theatre system to your imput slot on your tv.
3. turn on all three systems, put your home theatre system on the correct function (which ever slots you decided to put the cables in to the input slots) then turn your tv to the correct AV channel
you need the red and white audio cable hooked into the AUDIO OUT connectors on the tv and the other end of the red and white cables into the AUDIO IN in tv to the media center (main Bose unit).....If your tv does not provide AUDIO OUT connectors, you cannot connect the tv audio to the 3-2-1 system. Continue using your tv speakers for sound.
You cannot use this system with one that does not have a Subwoofer or LFE (Low Frequency Effect) output. Unfortunately, this sub doesn't have a line-level (speaker wire) input. Sorry.
Hi there, in order to listen to t.v you need to purchase an optical cable and plug this in the optical out of the tv to the optical in on the blue ray then select D.IN.1 on the blue ray and press mode on the remote until it says matrix . This will allow you to listen to the t.v through all speakers. hope this helps. Also remember to take the rubber protectors off the ends of the optical cable, a lot of people forget this :)
get a stereo to phono cord. connect the stereo pin to the ipod (ear pin) and connect the phono cord the the input section of the home theatre. after all this just put on everything and start the music on the ipod. if it does not come just increase the volume of your home theatre.
hope to hear favourably from u. thank u and good luck. have a nice day.
Yes, that type of connector is often used for a VGA signal for a computer monitor. But in this case it is an all-in-one connector Yamaha used in order to simplify the hookup of this home theatre system. Unfortunately, the subwoofer is only usable with the DVR-S300 receiver/DVD player.
I would suggest that you smash
Philips HTS w/a hammer!
I had better sound from TV alone! Only 2 speakers put out sound from TV. Recordings from DVR can not be heard very well w/all volumes at max. System sucks! You get what you pay for! $2500 LCD TV sounds worse w/Philips HTS than my son's $300 TV! ALL cables hooked up as instucted!!!!
If the sound files are to be coming from the computer then the sound system must be connected to the line out jack.
