When turned on, no picture, sound or response. LED is OK
I can turn on the set with both the powerbutton on the television and with the powerbutton on the remote, but that's as far as it goes.
I hear something click inside when powering on, the LED turns from red to green. The screen slightly flicks juuust a little, then it's total darkness. I can hear a sublte buzz from the inside though. Doesn't help to unplug/drain circuit. The buttons on the panel doesn't respond nor does the remote.
I had a similar problem with my HANNSLounge 32", the screen switched on with green light but none of the front panel buttons worked (screen is black apart from showing the input source in the top left).
After powering off numerous times I tried starting up with a blank SD card in the reader and the tv cycled between red green and blue screens and then reset itself. (Some sort of firmware restore?) After which point I had a working screen again! (Will have to see how long it lasts for!)

Hello Doug,
I would suggest to test all the voltages in the power supply, If all the voltages test OK then It's more likely that the main board is causing the LED not to be responsive.
the picture board has gone faulty
thee are two system boards in the set --one for sound and one for picture
if you have the number from the board you want to replace try e-bay --circuit boards for your tv and see what comes up
Sounds like backlight is dead. Shine flashlight on screen. Can you see video slightly. Replace inverter or some sets have inverter as part of power board. If led set replace led driver board. Also that may be part of power board.
I was having the same problem and i called haier co. to ask what i could do and they said to order a new remote control so i did and i received it and i turned my tv with the new remote and pushed the tv/use button and finally worked thank god. i wasn't getting any response at all only blue screen.and no signal. maybe you could try it remote only 20.00.
personally i would call a tv repairman out to fix the set.you can get alot of different opinions on here about what it may or may not be but the best thing to do is call a repaiman and let them fix it
OK that means the set isnt going into shutdown for protection. So your problem has to be in the stanby voltages that supply the operating voltages or in the operating circuits themselves. It will need to be diagnosed by the service manual. Do you feel comfortable doing the diagnosis with tech support? If so I will post a link where you can get buy the service manual they email it and they provide free tech support with the service manual purchase. Let me know if you would like the link.
Did you reset the hours on the lamp with the menu options on your set? Sometimes, if you do not do that it can mess with the tv performance thinking that its over hours.
It needs to be reset to 0 again...
