Pavilion EZ4125 will not boot past the HP boot seletion screen.

Only items that can be modified by the user are highlighted. The BIOS version is just there for informational purposes. If you flash-update the BIOS, when you return to the page you would see the new version.

While your system is still booting from start, keep hitting F11 to get past that point then proceed with the system recovery.

Obviously your channel display must be working. I would assume the radio has sustain some harsh trauma to the channel selector itself possibly a drop.
Remove the speaker side cover looking down on the channel selector and its pcb board check connection and between the mechanical switch and pcb.
This may be as simple as a cold solder joint the problem is finding it.

turn off laptop
wait a moment
turn it back on
(as it starts...enable your F lock key)
immediately press F8 key and hold down.

this should bring up a startup menu option wih safe mode as an option.

Try holding down the esc button during a cold boot, as soon as you hit the power button you must hold down the esc key. Try it a few times waiting at least ten seconds between boots. If a screen comes up choose hard drive and computer should boot. This is only a workaround to a manufactures defect on the motherboard and will not fix the computer. But if it does post when you do this you will know it is a defective motherboard.

this is a easy one plug up your unit take out ur battery for 30 sec while holding do the power button hit the power button once again and it should come on and if it dont the great things is there a recall on those pc call hp they will send u a new pc free of charge

PLESE GO TO SETTINGS MENU AND YOU CAN FIND REVERSING OPTION . sELECT THAT.
