I received this clock at Christmas, and I thought it was great until I had a power failure. Apparently the batteries in the base only work if you happen to unplug the power supply from the unit right when the power goes out. You can see the problem by just unplugging the power supply only from the wall, and then after waiting a little while, plugging it back in. The clock does not have a battery backup, but it requires batteries - Go figure!
So I have been looking and looking for their Web site and it does not exist. Does anyone have it?
I did find a phone number in the Yellow Pages, and i will try it when I can - 949-900-0900.
SOURCE: Shift 3 Projection Alarm clock remote cannot open
There are four small phillips head screws that hold on the back cover. Just take a small phillips screw driver, unscrew the screws, remove the cover and insert two (2) AAA batteries. My problem is that the main unit does not recieve the outside temperature from the sensor.
SOURCE: Remote signal not received by Shift 3 projection alarm clock
1) Does the remote have batteries? See other posts that describe how to do this (4 screws in back need to be removed). Temperature should be displayed in small window of the sending unit if it's working.
2) Hold Channel button for 3 seconds until it beeps - the unit then searches for a signal.
Installation
1* Remove unit and all packing materials from the carton. You should save packing
materials in case unit needs to be returned for service. If you do not wish to save the
materials, please dispose of them properly.
2* Place the unit on a stable, level surface, close to an AC outlet, out of direct sunlight,
and away from sources of dust, dirt, heat, water, moisture, vibration, or magnetic fields.
3* After installing the batteries (see below) and reading the Maintenance notes, plug the
AC cord into an outlet.
"Sure Alarm" Battery Backup Installation
It is strongly recommended that 2 "AA" batteries be installed into the unit, as directed below,
in order to activate this product's "Sure Alarm" Battery Backup feature. (The model should
come with two batteries already installed.) In the event that the AC power cord is disconnected
or a power failure or other interruption occurs, the "Sure Alarm" Battery Backup will maintain
clock and alarm settings for the life of the battery, ensuring that the alarm (buzzer only) will
sound at the set time. During any interruptions the time and alarm settings will be saved
and automatically restored when AC power is again active.
1* Gently turn the unit over and remove the battery
compartment door.
2. Install 2 "AA" batteries (alkaline is recommended for
longer life), while making sure that the + and - ends
match up with those inside the battery compartment.
3* Slide the battery compartment door back on, making
sure the door locks into place, and gently return the
unit to its upright position.
The clock and alarm memory will
be retained during a power
interruption. During battery
backup operation, the display
will not light up, but the correct
time will be maintained internally
The mains transformer inside it will be of 10.2vAC secondary to 120VAC primary. OK.

need manual but can not find website.
yeah...i just bought it like a few minutes ago. Having battery doesn't do jack. If your power goes out, you need to redo everything, including opening and resetting the remote.
