needle needs to be in correct position. try threading from other side.. if in correct position.

It looks like your power cord and foot pedal are incorporated into one unit, and you'll have to replace the foot pedal to get it. the zipper foot position is adjustable, not the needle position.

change the needle to see if that will take care of the problem
if it doens't then the machine needs to be checked at a sewing machine shop about the timing

well you can take the machine to a sewing machine shop & have it serviced or try do the retiming yourself

Are you making sure that the needle is in the highest position when you start to sew, and hold your threads until 4 or 5 stitches forward. Replace your needle and make sure you have it inserted flat side faces away from you and pushed up all of the way.
