Sci phone contats problem

I have the sci phone and when people text me there contact name doesnt show up only the number shows up can anyone help me

    It only shows the number. It wont show the contact name. And i can't get ANY picture messages.

Hi just put the zipcode number of your country infront of the number and it will be ok

Ok so i have not got the picture problem yet..i just got the phone like twenty min ago.. problem with the contact names is this

you prolly saved the number as 2095554444 not gonna work it has to be EXACTLY the way it shows up on the text so u gotta put in +12095554444 pretty LAAAMe i know... but it works!!!

Are you sending to someone who would have you in their contact list. If not, then likely the phone has no way to know it is you texting. Typically texts are sent as phone number and the receiving phone checks it's contact list to see if it matches anyone and then substitutes the name for the number automatically.

When saving a contact to your phone book for some reason you have to save the number with a "1" in front of the area code and number or it will not register as the contact calling. I would save a number and have them call or send text but it just kept coming up as the number itself and not their name. I changed the number with the 1 in front of it and it worked just fine.

Contact Name Doesn't Show Up
If only one number is not showing on your screen it means that you have blocked it with your application or messaging system that you'll need to take the number out of the blocking list. But if this doesn't help you the number itself might have a privacy feature that you cannot see the number itself but just showing private number.

Incoming callers names dont show up..
Check and see if your contacts have the country code added to the front of their mobile numbers.

E.g Samoa (00685) mobile number or (+685)
NZVF (0064) 21XXXXXXXX not 021XXXXXXXXXX

Since you have saved the same number twice, it is not displaying the name of the contact. You should only save the contact once (international format preferred).

Nokia 6300 Some contact names dont show when receiving texts
try entering the (+) plus sign and the country code then the mobile number / editing the numbers of your contacts. such as, a mobile number alone (depending on the sim) that reads as 09178943874 must be edited as +639178943874 (noting that +63 is the country code).
