No voice prompts on my new nuvi 750- volume level not muted.

Does your unit have a FM Transmitter ??? for traffic

on the main screen press the volume icon.....is there a check mark in mute ? if so remove it

on the same page on the bottom of screen FM Trans press it..... is there a check mark there ? if so uncheck it, you will only need that there if you use your radio speakers

Power unit on

Press Volume Icon..... If there is a check mark on mute remove it

if not

Press FM Trans

uncheck Enable FM Transmitter

you will just need to de activate the FM transmitter to do that press the volume button at the bottom right hand corner of the main menu and uncheck the box that says something about the FM transmitter

Go to Tools.....Settings....Language.... under Voice make sure Language with ( TTS ) is chosen

If that is ok then look at this...

Press Volume Icon.... if a checkmark in Mute remove it

if no checkmark then on the bottom of the screen you will see FM TRANS press
Does Enable FM Transmitter have a check mark? if so remove it and check sound

Do you have the unit set to internal speaker or FM Transmitter? Go to the Volume section from the menu, FM Trans, disable FM Transmitter.

Go into the setup menue and reselect a language.

That has happened to me several times. When it happens I go to Tools > Settings > Language. In my case, the Voice field is empty, so I click on the Voice field and then select American English-Jill (TTS) and it's okay afterwards.

Update your gps on garmin website, download latest firware version. Worked for me

This will work--go to Tools, Settings, Language and then select a Language that has TTS following it--this is the text to speech choice. Choose English TTS Jill if you like to hear the woman.

Go back into your tools and settings and re select the voice of american jack and see if it comes back on.
I lost the voice 2 days ago while on a trip from tenn. to florida and this fixed it. we never shut off the voice but somehow while using bluetooth or FM trans it shut off voice transmiting.
