My 3rd Generation iPod Nano died and won't charge.

You may just need to leave it plugged in for a few hours and see if it comes to life. It is usually the case.

I am sure you will be fine.. give it a try

My black iPod Nano 8 GB doesn't get recognized at all!

We had same problem with our shuffle's and 3rd generation nano...after hours of being on the phone with a customer service rep at apple, i have found that they do not work on the new computer that I have but an older one. I really don't know what the differences are but i can get them both to work on an older computer. If you take them back to the store to exchange, you will continue to have the problem. Sending the ipod back won't be a solution either. I have yet to figure it out, when I do, I will come back and let you all know.

Good luck

Ipod not recognized by computer or itunes

I struggled with this issue for a while and finally found a post that helped me. Hold menu and the center buttons until the iPod turns off. Then, immediately hold the left and center buttons to pull up the iPod diagnostic menu. Scroll down to the option "Reset" and select it. My iPod was finally recognized by iTunes. Good luck :)
