WOW!
Warranty voider there.
Hate to see a $1,000 TV go down the toilet.
If your lucky, you can try checking the fuses inside the TV.
The lightning may have taking out only your power supply board, shopjimmy.com may have replacements for about $100. But, I can't tell you for sure that will fix the problem.
You may have to take to a repair shop to find out for sure.
Good Luck

Hello,my Sony Bravia HD TV (LED & LCD) we suspect that it was struck by lightning, but my other appliances connected on the same power cord as my tv are working fine,so i'm confused..

The power surge from lightening can come in thru the antenna or cable box. Also just the proximity of lightening can damage one item and not another. An ic chip can be destroyed from the charge in the air.Likely took out power and main brd both.

Why won't my Samsung UN40D5005BF come on?

Lightning damage can do a # on LCD TV's. I've seen cases where it took out power supplies and main boards at the same time. I'm not one who likes to use the "shot gun" approach. You would need to get the set professionally diagnosed in my opinion. Where did you get the main board from?? Are you sure it is a working board?

My tv won't power on after lightning struck and made the power flicker. i've tried unplugging it and leaving it unplugged for several minutes with no luck. is there a fuse?

Check the fuses on the power board. there is one fuse on primary side and one on secondary side.
Take of back panel and follow plug into the tv.where it ends is the power board.always use caution.the capacitors in there hold high voltage even after unplugged for a couple of days.Discharge capacitors before servicing the board.

Lightning struck My SK-32H240s Widescreen HDTV and now it will not work. Is there a reset button or some way to fix this myself? No insurance and 2 years old

Hi:
If lighting struck the television then there may be a problem with the power supply, first thing to check for is the line fuse, if no standby light is lit on the front when you plug the set into AC outlet then the line fuse is blown and needs replacing.
