and look at pages 44 - 46 it shows you how to change the ink cartridges. Just bear in mind the page takes a while to load as its a 4mb pdf so it will just stay black for a while until it downloads.
Turn the printer on.
Lift the lid that covers the print-mechanism.
In a few seconds, the cartridges will slide to a place where you can easily remove them, and insert a replacement cartridge.
Close the lid.
Apologies for not responding earlier, forgot all about it. Solved problem by switching printer on and off many times. It eventually recognized cartridges. Now leave it switched on.
If you replaced with "genuine" ink-cartridges, then it should report "full".
If you replaced with "refilled" ink-cartridges, then the company that refilled forgot to "reset" the electronics inside the ink-cartridge, in order to report "full".
Or, perhaps, the software "toolbox" that came with the printer has a button "I have installed new cartridges, please re-verify the ink-levels" ??? Click that button.
Open the lid, the cartridges will move to the middle.
Press down on the release latch at the front of the cart you want to change (Blue is the color grey is the black one). Remove the old old one, install the new one and snap the little holder back down.
