Marantz SR5200 receiver works only with remote not manually

My Marantz SR5200 works only when operated with the remote control. Except for the power button, volume control, none of the buttons work when pressed manually on the unit itself.

Hi,
I have a problem with updating firmware in Marantz M-CR603. Although power and network cables are connected and working properly the device fails with message:
Updating fail: 10

System

I was trying to reset it by pressing few different combinations of buttons, when powering the device up, but none of them were working. Even the one from the manual (volume up and volume down simultaneously). All the device is doing, after powering it up,is entering the firmware update mode which it fails finally.
Is there a way to make it alive?

Check for a stuck/jammed switch, press each switch if one doesn't make a normal click sound or it doesn't move at all that's your problem.
If that's not it check the owners manual for how to reset the receiver (not all manuals will tell you how to reset it) Another way to reset it is to short the memory cap, but that is better left to a tech.

Thermal cutoff is operating. There is excessive heat being generated on the heat sinks of the Amp. This happens when there is a shorted output transistor or a speaker load changing.

If you are saying that the left side is LOUDER than the right it could be DC offset on the recording or it could be phasing issues.

Can't turn on and off without manually going to unit. Have remote rc18sr. System still rocks, however went online to try for a new remote, i guess this is obsolete.

My marantz sr5200 powered off and won't turn back on. What do I do? There is a light flashing red. this is not an overheating problem or fuse problem. It happened when I was trying to program the...

try to reset the memory circuits, the info on them may be corrupted, try this:
1 disconnect the plug from the AC line supply
2 wait 10 minutes then, reconnect the plug to the AC
outlet
3 try to operate the equipment.

now.. if above does not work you may have to contact the manufacturer as
the issue could be related with the internal circuitry.

Sr5200, when using the "tuner" mode, is stuck in the AM frequency! I've pushed every button on the front panel and the remote. How do I change to FM?

Push TUNER button twice, it will switch betwin AM and FM.

sounds like you might need to open it up and check the speaker wires that you plug your speakers up to it might be lose or something else like that cause it happened to me before and that was it.
