Power off the printer, check for obstructions.
Move the print head to the left side, then again check for obstructions.
Make sure the cartridge cover is closed.
Try to reinstall your inks, push them down the cartridge holder until they click.
just press the ink button (with the drop symbol) once and the carriage will move to change ink position, you can now change the cartridge. when your done, just press the ink button once again.
Reset waste ink counter using SSC ver. 4.30. You can find at indoreset.blogspot.com. Don't forget to replace waste ink pad, washing or extend outlet pipe from head cleaning mechanic to outside of printer.
This is a common issue when printing using windows software, especially XP since SP2, my advice is always use the Epson software to print. Hope this helps
