I need to remove the furniture door off my integrated dishwasher

Short of buying new hardware, that is what I would do. Make sure that the threads are not metric and also make sure that you use stainless steel

Not knowing which make and model machine you have, the only thing I can suggest is either look from the top of the machine and see if there is an adjustment on the door latch or look in from the inside top and see if there is a screw on the latch that lets you pull the latch out slightly.
Sometimes you need to remove the dishwasher cover.
Othertimes you may need to remove the front control panel to get to the door handle assembly and see if the micro switch or handle assembly is worn out.
Best thing is to advise the make and model so that I can point you in the right direction.
Open the dishwasher door and on the inside of the door there should be a compliance sticker with manufacturer's details.

1 Open door and you will see 5 crosshead screw on each side, undo the top screws and lift up the plastic control panel to release it from the metal clips fixed to the back of the furniture door
2 Lift up the door to release the plastic clips (fixed to the back of the furniture door) from the keyway slot in the metal dw door
3 If its a 2677 that is the replacement the reverse the proceedure on the new one, there is no point cahnging the clips, if its not then
4 Swap over to new makes fixings and rehang the door

Please check whether the plastic pins are broken.

I removed the inner door panel and found the handle broken. It has integrally molded plastic pins that provide a pivot for the handle to push against the release assembly. These were broken off. Also noticed that there were some small fingers molded on the back of the switch panel that were snapped off. I'm not sure what these are for and I can't see how they are needed for the latch operation. My hunch is that they aid in positioning the handle during factory assembly. I'm NOT going to buy a new switch panel to replace these!

I don't know why the handle broke but it did so in stages. I think one pin broke, and then everything else broke because of added misalignment and stress. The good news: a new handle only costs about $10 and I'll have it in a couple of days. Thanks

I have an SGV53E23 so don't know if this will help. My door is screwed but also held in place by 2 double sided sticky pads about half way down. They stick like the proverbial so try easing the door off one side at a time and look down to see if you can see any sticky pads. If so firm but gentle easing will get the baby off.

there are some screws inside the door, around the edge. These would be the first to undo then I think the door would have o be pulled up slightly to relaease.
