My subject monitor works fine with my HP Pavilion which has a WinME OS; but I have tried it with my ComPaq Presario which has Win98SE and the one now in use on-line....an XP OS and the monitor does the same thing with both the 98SE and the XP computers: on booting up, the LCD flashes and gives me a glimpse of what should be appearing but never fully materializes at the completion of bootup....in fact the screen is a blank slate. This apparent incompatibility with the two OSs I've portrayed is perplexing because it is with those two that I work on-line ... but how does one use either of those machines to download drivers essential to their operation when one cannot see where one is and where one wants to go?
Go to the add a--- section under the control panel and right click on the monitor/s
click on the properties tab and then click on the compatibility tab
tick the box and click on the os you want for that computer
click apply and ok
in that properties you will also find a drivers tab , click on that and then the driver update line
it will search and download the latest drivers or come back with a message that the driver in use is the most appropriate one

Hi,
First thing to try, is to check the cable from Monitor To PC Or Graphics Card.
If you have a loose-broken internal wire, this will be the problem. Dry-Solder Joint et,c.
If the cable, has a socket either end, from monitor to computer.
try to obtain a replacement cable. The second option is to test the output source. i.e Graphics card or output to the monitor.
Hope this helps Mike @ Compurepair.
