2005 Honda Odyssey - Replacing CD Player

My CD player is not working and I would like to remove it and either have it repaired or replace it with a new unit. I would like to know how to remove it without having to take the entire dashboard out. Please advise. Thanking you in advance of your anticipated cooperation One day the CD player in our 2005 Honda Odyssey just stopped playing. The radio works, but we cannot switch it to CD mode. I'd like to get it replaced or fixed. I'd also like to get all our favorite CDs out of it.

Would you be able to upload a photo of your dashboard's setup? If you can do that I can give you a definite answer almost immediately.

Honda odyssey 2003 CD player shows E 00 w hen I try to load cd

E00 is a vague error code used by Honda that indicates a problem with the CD Drive in the head unit. Unfortunately this will require removing and head unit and replacing it with either an OEM replacement or an aftermarket unit.

2005 Honda Odyssey left front power outlet doesn't work.Right one works fine. How do I fix

using a test light check the fuses in the fuse panel then check for power and ground at the socket. if one is missing remove the socket and check for power and ground at the electrical connector. if you have both the socket is bad and needs replacing. if you missing one you will have to check that wire to find were the problem is and repair it.

My 2005 honda accord's cd player doesnt work. there is no cd in the player yet the light is on and it wont allow me to put in. the light never goes off and every time i hit the cd button nothing...

CD & DVD players are among the least reliable of all electronics and prohibitively expensive to repair because of the labor involved with removal and re-installation in a vehicle. Also, the transport mechanism that is causing your problem is not even likely to be available after 6 years.I highly recommend replacing with a new stereo and, if you are of faith, praying a little that the new one will last as long as the original.

How do you remove a CD that is stuck in the factory installed cd player 2005 odyssey?

Hi.

All you can do without disassembling is pressing repeatedly the eject button while you turn on the unit at the same time. You can try first turning ignition off and on, then disconnecting the battery.

If that does not work, then the CD player must be pulled out and disassembled to access and remove the disk.

Try first turning on the unit and pressing repeatedly the eject. If there is no mechanical problem with the CD player that will work. If that does not work, then the player usually needs repair.

2005 Honda Odyssey - Replacing CD Player

I've been looking for instructions to remove the stereo in my 2005 Odyssey as well. I found these instructions that should help: http://www.collegehillshonda.com/instructions/gen3_odyssey/musiclink.pdf It is actually for adding something else to the stereo, but there are instructions for removing the stereo there. You can easily find a kit that allows you to mount a standard car stereo in the space. You might also check out http://www.crutchfield.com Any stereo bought there comes with the necessary mounting kit and harness for your vehicle, as well as vehicle-specific installation instructions.
