What can I do to unstick my bobbin and bobbin case . It comes only half way out 880 Bernina

If your bobbin and bobbin case are stuck on your 880 Bernina sewing machine, there could be several potential causes for this issue. Here are some possible solutions to unstick the bobbin and bobbin case:
  1. Check for any debris or lint that may be blocking the bobbin and bobbin case. You can try using a small brush or toothpick to remove any debris or lint that may be blocking the movement of the bobbin and bobbin case.
  2. Check the tension on the bobbin case. The tension on the bobbin case should be adjusted to match the type and weight of the thread you are using. If the tension is too tight, it may be preventing the bobbin and bobbin case from moving freely. You can try adjusting the tension on the bobbin case using the tension dial or screw on the case.
  3. Check the position of the bobbin case. The bobbin case should be positioned correctly in the sewing machine to allow the bobbin and bobbin case to move freely. If the bobbin case is not properly positioned, it may be preventing the bobbin and bobbin case from moving. You can try repositioning the bobbin case in the sewing machine according to the instructions in the sewing machine manual.
  4. Check the condition of the bobbin and bobbin case. If the bobbin and bobbin case are old or damaged, they may be stuck or difficult to move. You can try replacing the bobbin and bobbin case with new ones to see if this fixes the problem.
If none of these solutions work, it may be necessary to disassemble the sewing machine and clean or repair the internal parts that are preventing the bobbin and bobbin case from moving freely. This is a complex task that should only be performed by a qualified sewing machine repair technician.

Model 4075 white sewing machine thread from bobbin builds up and stops sewing.

Check the stitching and confirm that it is in fact bobbin thread and not the top thread that is creating knots & loops under the fabric. This is usually the case and is called thread nests or bird nests. (You can search the internet for more information about this symptom.)

Install a brand new needle.
Remove the thread from the machine.
ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot while rethreading the upper thread.
Confirm the thread path is correct.
Verify the bobbin is installed facing the correct direction in the bobbin case and the bobbin case is threaded properly.

Set the upper tension to the midway point (factory standard) although it may need to be tweaked as machines change with use and time.

Pull up the bobbin thread. This method works with general sewing projects, not just quilting.
How and Why to Bring up the Bobbin Thread

Begin to test sew slowly.

If the thread is still making a mess, then the machine most likely has a timing issue. There are multiple web sites and videos that discuss sewing machine timing. Or take it for service.

I have model # 1919 White Sewing machine - I need the bobbin case that comes out.

if it's a bottom loader, Joann's Fabrics and Crafts has a sales dept inside the store and they carry a variety of bobbin casings. Most are universal and range from 10.00-$25.00

The bobbin case lifts or slides out of the grooves. I have put it back but it still lifts out when I run the machine with out a bobbin. Do I need to replace the bobbin case. The one in the machine now...

It could be that the needle is hitting a point on the bobbin case causing the rough area.
Try inserting a new needle making sure it is as far in as it will go.
You could google for spare parts for your edition and brand of machine and get a new bobbing case, not expensive.
Otherwise it could be timing, which a professional would need to adjust.

Bobbin Info and threading!

Take your machine to any sewing store that sells parts and accesories and they will be able to match the bobbin case to your machine. I am still using the bobbins that came with mine but you can pick up the metal bobbins at Walmart for under $4 for 6 of them.
