Hi I have an LG fridge freezer model number GR L206CPQA and there is a horrible smell coming from the water from the dispenser, the filter has been changed and the ice seems to be fine but the fans on the...

Sorry but your model number doesn't register with me in the USA.
My experience tells me that the plastic water line from the filter to the water tank to the dispenser outlet is your problem. Replace those parts and you should be ok.
Hope this helps.

There is a bad smell coming from the back of the fridge. The inside smells fine, the freezer does not smell either. It looks like there is some kind of tray inside the back of the fridge. Its is filled...

If you are referring to the drip pan that on the bottom of the fridge, that could be the source of your odor problem. Take the pan out and check to see what is in it. Normally there should only be just water that comes from the defrost cycle.

If the fan is frozen this would be cause because something in the defrost system is bad. Or you could have a open motor. Make sure the door gasket is sealing.

Bad water

There is a water filter located in the toe kick panel in front of the fridge at floor level.
Problem solved.

A really bad smell coming from the fridge

I had a similar problem with an unbearable smell, not inside, but outside the refregeration compartment. it was from the defrosted liquid that gets stored in a small open tank at the bottom on the rear side of the fridge. over time , particles settle along with water and gives a rooten smell, cleaning this tank solved it.

Hope this helps,

UNABLE TO TRACE SMELL IN FRIDGE.

Hello coutts
Welcome,

You said, UNABLE TO TRACE SMELL IN FRIDGE.

1.What is the model and age of your fridge?
2.Did you ever spill some exotic type foods or curry or so forth?
3.Describe what it smells like?
4.Did you empty the fridge and wash it out?

I have know people who have emptied there fridge and washed it out with a solution they mixed of 10%bleach and 90 % water to extract a Foul odor.
In the hospitals they use 30% bleach and 7% water solution.
BUT I would be afraid for the walls of the fridge being plastic or vinyl.
I do not know how bad the smell is for your fridge, but I recommend to my customers to keep an open box or two of baking soda in their fridge and this absorbs odors pretty well. Change them once a month.
They are dirt cheap at Sam's club or fifty cents a small box in the supermarket.
Waiting your response to my first questions!!

Huuum
I hope that I solved your problem with one or all my suggestions

I have a homeking fridge freezer and there is a really bad smell coming from the fridge which is not because of food. i have emptied the fridge and thoroughly cleaned the fridge but the smell is still...

Hi, i have the same problem with my Homeking fridge. Because it is a frost free firdge, there is a little resevoir at the back, with a small little tube leading from the base of the fridge into it. There are 2 screws holding it in place. Unscrew these but keep the resevoir firmly in place as the nasty parmesan-type smell is actually stagnant water and you really really dont want to spill it. Empty it and then what i did was bleach and anitbacterialise the resevoir tray and the little tube thing. Though I had the problem solved but now it is doing it again less than 2 months after this, so I'm going to contact the people who sold it to me. This is how you get rid of the smell though!!
Good luck
Laura
