SOURCE: my admiral dryer model AED4475TQ belt came off and the pulley is laying lose I need a diagram to fix it please help

Hopefully this helps! My drawing isn't great or good for that matter. The washer has a place to insert the pulley in front of the motor. Put the belt around the drum. Then push the pulley back away from the drum and insert the belt in between the forks and then wrap it around the pulley of the motor. I really hope this helps.

Admiral dryer won't heat. Fuses have continuity. Does run though. Heating element has continuity as well. Have both legs of power going in.

Check the high limit switches next to the drum and element. they are around the size of a quarter dollar, about one and a half inches. check continuity.

Going from a 3 prong to a 4 prong dryer plug

Admiral AED4475TQ is an electric dryer? Was your old dryer gas? If so, you need a 220 line installed to run the electric dryer. Here is a link to instructions from ehow http://www.ehow.com/how_5824435_wire-220-plug.html.

Verify the dryer's age here: http://www.appliance411.com/service/date-code.php

Was the drum hard to spin? You should be able to spin a drum with one hand. If not, the drum may be binding due to a roller/glide problem or a bad bearing. The drum may have been knocked out of alignment when the dryer was moved.

If the drum moved easily, the motor's start windings may be bad. The motor is about $80 at repairclinic.com.

Hello, try checking the door switch, with no light in the drum it points to the door switch being bad. To test this unplug the machine, bypass the door switch with a wirenut..Don't forget to replace the switch if bad, the door switch is there for a reason. Good Luck!!! Please feel free to comment again if you have any other questions or concerns. Mike
