I am trying to get my older Lexmark Optra E + laser printer hooked up to my new Vista Desk Top , which only has USB ports.
I have purchased the 25 Pin to USB 2.0 cable. I have plugged it in and downloaded the OPTRA E+ driver.
I have tried many of the different ports that are shown available, to no avail. I cannot get a test page to print .
The printer doesn't seem to be recognized .
Any help would be much appreciated as the Optra E is a great home laser printer.

try changing feed rollers in tray. To test or temporary fix remove the rubber tires and flip them inside out, then reinstall.

I had the same problem and it was driving me nuts. Turns out it was nothing more than the little flap that hangs down at the left hand corner of the output tray. It was stuck in the up position. After resetting it I had to cycle the power and everything is copacetic. Hope that helps
