Laptop Toshiba Satellite A100-237 runs on XP Home. After installation of all in one printer Lexmark 5470 all works perfect until i turn it off. The message i get for a print command is "you must first install a printer" or "reinstall printer drivers". On the windows control panel on printer and faxes page the printer icon is gone. However, on the scanners and cameras page the 5470 scanner icon existsts and works fine. All installed files and user guides exist. I also downloaded drivers from Lexmark site just in case, but made no difference all the same problem. Does anybody know what the problem is and the solution? Its frustrating tu reinstall software every time i need to print.

Fully uninstall the lexmark from your computer, everything, delete the printer from printers and faxes and make sure there is no trace of the printer on the computer.
Then get the files you downloaded and install the printer again.
Everything should work normally.
