HP PSC2355p all in one, cannot use scanner, error messages,

I have tried to reinstall after talking to support, re installed a dozen times, cannot get it to work get error 1310 when trying to run driver, managed to get it to print but now wont scan, driving me mad, an easy solution is needed, please, all i want to do is scan, support is not albe to solve this
HELP !

Make sure the scanner usb and power leads are securely seated
the drivers for the scanner might have been corrupted
you might have to uninstall the scanner restart your computer then reinstall your scanner

if your printer/scanner came with an installation disc the drivers could be on it
you might have to uninstall the printer/scanner restart your computer then reinstall the printer/scanner and its drivers

click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll to ports(COM&LPT) + to expand you should see a communication port and Ecp printer port you might see a yellow Question/exclamation ? ! mark or a red X this will mean you need to install a new driver for this device right click to update driver
select properties again you will have the similiar options also have option to troubleshoot

Please go to the control panel and select the Scanner and Camera, hear you get your scanner, double click the scanner and try to scan the paper, if hear also give the same error then please reinstall your scanner driver,

click hear to download the driver

Scanner twain driver will not install

Dear sir,I am sory for your problem.Please format your oparating system i mean you install new windows.some times optical driver did not read properly data cab file,So hardware driver is not support properly.Windows xp SP3 is not complite version some messing.

I had this problem too, and after a while just gave up on the uesless HP interface, and went to the simple but efficient Windows Fax and Scan program on the Start>Programs menu.
