Thailand has a different region for cellphone. some cellphone that works in Australia will not work in Asia. Eventhough the phones on South Korea will not work outside South Korea. Actually it depends on the cellphone's capability if it has a dual band, tri-band and quad band network frequency. If your girlfriends cellphone has a capability to have some of the frequency that will work then there is no problem with that. But one other scenario will happen, if her cellphone uses GSM then it should work having dual band and tri-band in South East Asia. Other thing if her cellphone uses CDMA it is exclusively on your country only. That's the difference of the two. Hope these things help to figure out the problem. Thank you.
Hi there. Had the same problem with the same phone. I solved the problem on mine just chancing the setting for the network (triband) and searching the second sim card network in manual. Hope this will help.
