My printer gave me the message to check the ink waste bottle. I did just that and emptied the bottle and replaced in machine. now my printer will not work it keeps saying to check the waste bottle. I have taken it out at least 20 times and replaced it and it still does not work. What can I do?
I have cleaned out the waste toner bottle and replaced it, turned the printer off and then on after 10 seconds to reset, still says "Check waste toner bottle". Any suggestions?I have cleaned out the waste toner bottle and replaced it, turned the printer off and then on after 10 seconds to reset, still says "Check waste toner bottle". Any suggestions?

not a solution - but a problem... i emptied the toner waste bottle in my MPW2400 and a new error message appears...says there is no toner and it keeps dumping toner from the new cartridge until it is coming out of every orifice of the machine. What is that about?
The waste bin full error can occur if the waste bin was not removed
from the machine for over 10 seconds when it was emptied. Please remove
the waste bin and wait for a full 10 to 20 seconds before replacing the
Waste bin.
If the message still displays turn off the machine and leave it off
for 1 minute then turn the machine back on.
Then run software update to make sure you have the latest OS updates.
open the cover and now remove the waist toner container (you say it is empty) check the conection to the drum unit sometimes if the waist toner is verry full there is a pille of toner closing this connection, now clean it and all the sorounding from the toner and mount the waist container back in his possition, close the front cover and try, it should work now.
You
need to reset your printer. Google search for "indoreset for r230",
that is the program that you can use to reset your printer. Or you can
use the SSC Service Utility, just search for it in the net. You
particularly need to reset the waste ink pad counter.
After you reset your printer, check the back of your r230, you will see
there a small access cover with a screw. Unscrew it. Take a look inside
and you will see a tube connected to the waste ink tank, try to
disconnect it from the waste ink tank, carefully pulling it out the
access window. Do not force it out completely, you will be able to pull
out only about an inch of the tube. When the tube is out, get another
tube (silicon or plastic) around 6 inches long would do (12 inches will
be fine)that would fit in that tube you've just pulled out, then get an
empty plastic bottle with a cover, puncture a hole in the cover and put
the other end of the tube in that hole, that plastic bottle will be your
new waste ink tank. You are doing all these so you don't have to
dismantle your printer to remove and replace the waste ink pads inside.
After doing all these you can now use your printer again. You just need
to empty the plastic bottle regularly. And when the time comes to reset
your printer again, just use the program again and that's it.
Open the main front cover and you will see the white plastic waste toner bottle on the left hand side halfway up. I lies on its side and you can see the bottom of it.
Slide it out gently keeping it level to avoid spilling all the waste toner.
Either replace with a fresh empty waste bottle or empty the bottle into a large plastic bag you can keep sealed with the bottle inside while you shake it.
You have a good chance of spilling the toner all over your clothes if you are not carefull and note that the waste toner IS HIGHLY INFLAMMABLE so no naked flames nearby!!
The waste toner container is inside the front cover at the bottom right. If you work for a business you should purchase a new one. If not you may be able to empty it into a another container and seal it before putting into the bin.
This works on the F30, F60, and F80. Resetting the Waste Ink Volume Counter 1) Enter SERVICE MODE.--- By pressing Menu-Copy-# 2) Select TEST MODE. 3) Select [8] PRINTER TEST in TEST MODE. 4) Select 3. [EEPROM CLEAR]. 5) Select 0. [INK COUNT]. 6) Press the [OK] key. 7) Press the [Stop/Reset] key (returning to the state of 3)), and then press the [ON/OFF] key.
Skip step (6) since there is no [OK] key on F30 printers. Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.
