Will not print after pulling forward a jammed paper

The yellow light is on, not green. After pulling forward a jammed paper, the printer stopped printing. It was turned off all weekend only to come back to it still not working. Paper is in place right, jammed piece out, anyother helpful suggestions, please.

When you send something to print it stops, the attention light blinks red and once you click on the green CHECK button it prints again. Why does it act like its jamming?

  1. Slide the paper-width guide to its widest position, and then pull out the paper tray extender. Figure 2: Move the paper guidesc00648140.gif
  2. Insert plain white paper into the input tray with the short edge forward and the print side down. Slide the paper forward until it stops. Figure 3: Insert paper into the productc00636180.gif
CAUTION: Make sure the product is idle and silent when you load paper into the input tray. If the product is servicing the print cartridges or otherwise engaged in a task, the paper stop inside the device might not be in place. You could push the paper too far forward, causing the product to eject blank pages.
  3. Slide the paper-width guide inward until it stops at the edge of the paper. Figure 4: Adjust the paper guidesc00636178.gif
NOTE: Do not overload the input tray; make sure the stack of paper fits within the input tray and is no higher than the top of the paper-width guide.

My HP K550 officejet printer has recently been having some unusual jams in that it feeds a sheet of paper halfway through the printer w/o printing, then the green and yellow lights flash like a paper jam...

it seems that you are correct

Push the button on either side of the rear access panel or the duplex unit and remove the panel or unit.

Check inside the printer to make sure that the cam drawer is in the correct position, toward the front. If the cam drawer is not forward, pull the cam drawer into the correct position.

With all of the paper trays removed, check to ensure that the pick-up roller is up, not protruding down towards the tray, and no media is stuck to the roller.

Remove the printheads and check underneath the carriage and under the printheads themselves. Remove any jammed media.

Yellow light on and won't print on Dell model 1110 Lazer Printer

Dell printers are the worst I have worked with, this problem may be a 'paper jam' when there is no paper jam at all (or one REALLY stuck on the fuser). Check on the back of the printer for a piece of paper jammed on a sensor.

Paper jammed. pulled out. now yellow light flashes. runs, but no print

check the paper path, specially where the paper is being pickup. it might still have a small peice of paper stuck in the path. pull out the paper tray. can check the paper path in the front of the printer.
use a flash light if you can not see inside.
unplug it printer after you finished. wait 10 sec and plug it back in. that will clear the printer of any remaining print job, and rest the printer.

if this solve your problem, please rate the answer.
thank you
