Have you checked that the mic is enabled in your audio controls? Also in device hardware?

If you don't see the person you are chatting with on Skype, the issue is probably on their hardware. You do need to "Enable Video Call" from the Skype app's Menu after initiating a video call. If you aren't seen on the other party's side of the call, then it's your device settings that must be adjusted.

Does your tablet have a front-facing camera and Android version 2.3 or better? (The M18A is listed as having Android 4.0) If so, then you should be able to video chat with the Skype app. When you use the rear-facing camera, obviously there are issues with the other party seeing you.

If you have a front-facing camera, make sure that this is the default camera while the Skype app is closed. Open the default camera app and tap the icon to toggle the front camera interface (if needed). Then switch to video mode. Return to the home screen and open the Skype app. Login and start a video call. Then press Menu (in the app) and "Enable Video Call".

If this doesn't work, you may need the IP Webcam app. This is available at the Play Store. After setting the default camera, set the resolution and the frame capture rate, among other settings. Next, follow the directions for using Skype for a video call.

If the camera is built-in, there is no need to get it connected, make sure its drive is ready, so you can use it while you're going to chat on Skype.

Yes, you should be able to add a webcam. If your computer is running XP or later, you can find cameras almost anywhere. For Mac machines the selection is more limited, but Mac-compatible cameras are available. Cameras typically have a microphone built in, so you don't need a separate one. You don't actually need a microphone at all to use a camera, but if you want to use programs like Skype or do video chatting, you need one for the sound. The webcam will come with a disc containing the necessary drivers and installation program, so getting it working is usually not a difficult job.

if there is no icon in the tray for a webcam try this,
Go to --->Start--->All Programs and see if there is an application for the webcam you don't say what type of cam you have but the name should sound like a camera of some type e.g. crystalbrite, webviewer, etc. in the folder there should be an app to activate the webcam.

If that doesn't work try this, go to --->START--->Control Panel--->Scanners and Cameras and see if there is any thing there that can be a camera to activate

Worst case scenario is you'll have to do a manual search and install of the camera because its gotten uninstalled or corrupted somehow, if so you can click add device in the scanners and cameras section by going to--->START--->Control Panel--->Scanners and Camera--->Add Device

you should find the default installed software in start menu or C:\Program Files
or download the webcam drivers from internet
else update your drivers from driver updater software

I don't know much about bitcomet and I don't recommend since it a also a p2p application. If you wish to download videos from Youtube so that you can play in your mobile, you can try THIS. This is one of my tips I've posted recently.

Go START > ALL PROGRAMS > ACER CRYSTAL EYE WEBCAM and select it. Click on ACER CRYSTAL EYE WEBCAM and that should activate the webcam.
Once the webcam is active you will see an icon displayed in the TASKBAR.

Anyway, using any communication/chat/social software like Yahoo!Messenger or Skype or whatever that requires a webcam connection it will open automatically once the video conversation is on.

I suspect there is a "Service" that is using the camera, that starts when windows starts and this is mucking it all up, go START>>RUN>> type in services.msc & when it pops up look for anything to do with the camera and turn it OFF and set to Manual start. try again to see if your camera is still in use.OR it may be in your startup files. START>>RUN>> type in MSCONFIG, when the windows come up, go to the STARTUP tab and look in there for same/similar thing, disable, uncheck what you find and reboot, you can work through this until you find your culprit.
