My Samsung SCH-u540 keeps turning on and then shutting off

Not a total solution but pressing the camera button will clear up the display.

its a strip problem u will have to replace its strip from a mobile reapairing shopp.

I work for verizon-take your phone to a verizon store, have them swap it out for a new one. If your phone is under warranty you should be able to swap it out for a new one. If you are in contract the WARRANTY IS GOOD FOR THE LIFE OF THE CONTRACT. Call our Customer care line, don't go back to the store.

i threw mine against a wall... i have the black one. it works now

I did not care for this answer yesterday when it was given to me. However, it has gotten to the point where you should speak to a Samsung representative. The phone # is 888-987-4357. He/she can probably help you on the phone but if you do have to go into a location, at least you will know

It's a software crash, and unfortunately it's unlikely even the technicians in your local Verizon store can fix it. They will almost definitely have to replace it.

The good news is that this is a warranty issue, so if the phone is less than one year old it shouldn't cost you a penny.

The bad news is that any data on the phone is most likely lost :(

Your phone's .scr file is corrupted. Try this first....*228 and Send, wait for it to finish, the phone should power off and on by itself....then go into VCast. If this does not work, then go to the Verizon store and ask them to reflash the phone. If you tell them the problem, they should know what to do....

It sounds like your charger is faulty, or your phones charger connection is faulty, try borrowing the same charger from a friend, if it does the same thing, your phones connection is faulty Regards
