Convergence Problem How can I find the samsung part number for a convergence amp IC the number on the two IC's are STK392-040.

TV is in shutdown, may be caused by a shorted convergence amp IC. Also could be caused by any short in secondary B+ supply. Unplug supply to converg amps, if TV comes on, but out of convergence then you have a shorted IC, STK-392-010

Part # BP95-00142E is the correct convergence amp board for a model # HCN4226W. Part # BP94-00155A is listed as a "CG Amp assembly board" also, but is not correct for a model # HCN4226W. They are both basically convergence amp boards. Here's a link to order the original Samsung covergence amp board for this model (HCN4226W) from a major parts distributor:

This unit does not use the STK series convergence amps.The convergence power supply is what you need.I will provide that number for you after while.

Sounds like a convergence problem.
Convergence Output IC Failure
Corrective Action: Replace the defective Convergence Output IC Part Number 23905094 (STK392-110) using the revised “T” version IC Part Number 23135090 (STK392-110T). When Convergence Output failure is
detected, it’s recommended that both IC’s be changed to the “T” type IC
version.

Just had new Ic?? Meaning single?? The symptoms you're describing are a convergence failure. That unit takes Stk392-040 Sanyo Ics and be aware there are a ton of Chineese knock-offs out there that can cause you real trouble, so purchase them from only a reputable part distributor... You need to change both amps, test all 3.9 ohm-2w resistors in that circuit, like Rz123 and Rz124 and check Fd102 3.5a pico fuse for open. That's actually a really easy set to work on for convergence problems because the entire convergence amp board is easily removed.

Unfortunately, the complete convergence amp board is no longer available from Samsung. But the board is available from ptscorp.com. Go to the website, get the telephone number, ask them what convergence Amp board you need and if they have it. If you know how to solder and unsolder, you can simply change the convergence amp IC's, on the main convergence board. The IC number if the IC's is STK392-040 Good Luck.
