Remove Mp3 player if you already connected to the USB port
Run the program (You should see something like: Please connect the device)
Hold down the Play button and connect the Mp3 Player to USB port(Hold down the play button while you connect the device, you should seea message (normally after 8 seconds) like: Initializing on YP-U2J Updater program screen)
After you hear the Windows chime "new device found" or the message"Initializing" on YP-U2J Updater, you can now remove your hand fromplay button.
Check the Format Data Area checkbox (By clicking the yes button, you will lose all of your data in your Mp3 player)
Click the "yes" button
Finally, click on the Start button (takes less than a minute). DO NOT REMOVE YOUR DEVICE
IMPORTANT: After updating the firmware, you MUSTdisconnect the Mp3 player and turn it on. You will see a 20% messagefor about 50 seconds and it will be restarted automatically.
Update: Pleasekeep in mind that if you sync your Mp3 player with a computer that hasa Windows Media Player 9 or 10, you should do these steps again
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard
If you can´t format your pendrive from my computer (mi pc) do this:
go to control panel (panel de control), administrative tools (herramientas administrativas), device administration (administración de dispositivos). Then, right click on your pendrive and click format. that´s all
Hi. My Inovix mp3/4 player suffered a similar fate when it crashed during a Firmware reload. The player went completely dead and wasn't even recognised by the computer when plugged into the USB port.
I basically kept on trying - a couple of times whenever I used the computer - using different ports.
2 days later - 'ding-dong' - Windows XP suddenly recognised something was in the port, and I tentatively attempted a Firmware reload.
Success! (Don't ask me to explain it tho'...)
You see, thats the kinda the same way for me. it like works only on win. xp. maybe the usb thing is dirty. try blowing in it. im sorry if this isnt that helpful. try takin it apart to. its hard but easy at the same time.
